Vice President - Kim Gibbons
I’ve worked in the construction industry since 1998, beginning as an Accounting Clerk for a major structural steel fabricator in San Angelo, Texas.   In short order I began a long career as a “Road Warrior”, first being transferred to the Field Project Management Department to manage office operations at our remote jobsite in Pittsburgh, PA.  Remained in Pittsburgh for approximately five years, working on several high profile projects in that region such as the Pittsburgh Steelers Heinz Field, PNC Park, home of the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Dave L. Lawrence Convention Center. Changed firms and continued working all over the United States serving as office manager, payroll clerk, document controller, you name it – I did it.

In 2008 I changed careers in that I began working with McCarthy Building Companies, Inc., first in the field and then moved to the Divisional Office where I am now the Executive Assistant to the President and provide administrative support for the other executive staff.  Additionally, I serve as the Contract Administrator for our Commercial Operations Business Unit.

I am a strong advocate for education as most of you know through my volunteer work and championing Mi Escuelita Preschool, and I am thrilled that NAWIC shares the same concern and support to educating people – both women and men – because we all know it the construction worker, project manager, engineers and architects that build America!
