President's Message
Dear Dallas Members,

The year is moving along nicely.  Our first event was Block Kids
at Scottish Rite Hospital.  Beke Gibson took on the task – her first
time to attend the event as well as chair it! Kudos to her – it went
so well and there are many pictures on this website to prove it.
Great job Beke!   We hope to have another event at the Good
Shepherd Community Center after school program next year.  So
if you missed out in Oct – know you have a second chance to
help.

Kim Simmons, chair of Forum 2010, and I met with our Region 7
Director Sandy Field at the Hilton Garden Inn in Frisco to review
the site and details for Forum in April.  IT IS A GO – as we knew it
would be.  Look for details regarding the weekend – seminars,
field trips, and the opportunity to meet our national president
Robin Fulton Myer, members from other chapters, and just plain
fun to be coming through email soon.  Opportunities exist for
advertising and sponsorships.  Forum is not to be missed,
especially as it is in our own backyard!

I hope that many of us will attend the Ft. Worth Chapter
Christmas Party December 17.  Details will be sent out soon.
This is a fun time and great opportunity to meet and get to know
our “sister” chapter.

In January, our VP, Liz Sanders, is setting up “NAWIC is in
Jeopardy” for our membership meeting.  Yes, we will be playing
a game – come with a friend or colleague – read up on NAWIC –
and be prepared to participate.  This will be a team game and
there will be prizes!  It should be a fun, fun night.

Check out the rest of the website for our other events so you can
mark your calendars ahead of time.

Remember – we would love to see you, hear from you – know
that one thing we do has touched you and made you want to
participate or support it.

“Engage in the Present” so we can “Set the Stage for the Future”.
